Seido Battery Claims False?

Hey guys, there seems to be some controversy with the Seido 1750 battery. (Which we kind of knew due to batteryboss.)

There are a ton of speculations and rumors that the battery is actually closer to the stock 1500mAH size compared to 1750.

A rep responded saying that they cannot release any information and to return the battery if you are not interested.

...Just some news I thought I would share. As much as I am not happy to hear this, I was still thinking about buying the battery.

All I see in that thread is a bunch of mud slinging without any hardcore proof.

This whole topic has been discussed extensively time and time again.

I've owned my 1750mAh battery for a year and used it with my Touch Pro 2 before moving to the EVO. It has always served me quite well, and in my usage habits, I do indeed get about 2-3 hours of usage more per day than with my stock battery. I had the same results with my Mogul and Touch Pro.

I don't really care if it's 1300mAh, 1500mAh, 1750mAh, or 3-billion mAh, just so long as the results are in my favor.

Bah. I searched that part number that he had and came up with a whole slew of different values 1300, 1530, 1550, and even 1600, so I doubt it is one part number for each value. Maybe the part number has more to do with the chassis.

The guy might just have and axe to grind.

+1 here... I got the Seidio 1750mAh and am see 2-3 hours of extended play time... It's not much but really all I needed to get me through the day...

Also, just some other tips to keep your phone slim and sexy (No bulky batteries):

I have made it a point to ensure I have a charging solution at all the places I visit most frequestly. A charger at Home (of course), in the car, (of course), at work, and in my girls car... I'm also putting together a travel bag for those spur of the moment roadtrips, weekend getaways and vactions so that I have a "grab and go" solution...

Kit cosist of:
Case for all the goodies
I ordered this one from Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/HTC-Carrying-W...079955&sr=1-32

A/C Charger with USB Port
I used the one that came with the EVO. It's small and sleek.

Car Charger with USB Cable
I used the one for the Palm Pre pictured here. It's small and sleek as well. Cable can be used for both A/C and Car chargers.
http://assets1.precentral.net/store_...large/4229.jpg

USB to MicroUSB Cable
Used the one that came with the Pre Car Charger. Cable can be used for both A/C and Car Charger.

Extra 8gb Memory Card
In case I wanna take some pics while on the road, I have a free 8GBs to use up.

Extra Battery
Using the one from my TP2 for this kit. Since I have the 1750, I'll use the OEM Evo Battery as my daily backup and keep the TP2 Battery in the kit.

I believe I'll be able to keep all these accessories and the phone all i the case with room to spare for cash, cards, license and other smaller effects... This is a nice bundle for those on the go...

The dumbest thing is that people (myself included in the past) will pay $50 for a battery... You can get one for $10 on eBay that will more than serve the purpose of a second battery.

I am from the school of you get what you pay for. Buy cheap stuff, get cheap stuff. Buy more pricey things get better quality.

No axe to grind, no mud to sling here. However, when I had my original HTC Touch, a LOT of people bought the slimline extended battery from them. This battery was tested EXTENSIVELY by folks here and @ XDA I believe, and it fell well short of Seidio's claims. They finally offered full refunds, but I haven't bought a battery from them since.

Is this thread still alive? I could have sworn the mods would have closed it already. Seidio rebrands cheap products made in china. Their customer service and RMA department is (literally) permanently out to lunch. You can check this yourself. I had a battery overheat repeatedly on me and when I tried to obtain an RMA number even their own receptionist could only offer me the advice of the guy who handles RMAs is always out of the office at lunch.

What a way to run a (crappy) company.

No, they don't. I've thrown away after unsuccessfully trying to return for refund cases and clips from them. Their innodock craptastic line of products is a joke.

You can get a charging stand that won't support a spare battery or you can get one that supports a spare battery, but won't let you charge your device if it's in a case.

Stupid designs that are 100x cheaper via ebay from knockoffs that are just as low quality.
