Release date of official accessories?
 

Does anyone know if the official Sprint accessories will be released simultaneously with the phone? In particular I am interested in:

1. Custom device screen protectors.
2. HTC silicone gels
3. HTC Phone Covers

If they will be available at launch I see no reason to order similar items now. But if they are going to be released at a future date, then I will order something now to be prepared on Friday.

this picture indicates availability at launch.. just speculating though since the one says "likely post launch"

here's what I was told by one of the traveling sprint reps who's going around to best buys training the peeps there to expect on (or at least right after) phone release date. best buy will be getting in 2-3 different cases, the hdmi cable, car charger and zagg brand screen protector. shoulda asked him what radio shack was getting since that's where I preordered mine from instead of best buy. :P

You can purchase Screen Protecters from Zagg directly or one of their local resellers. I have one in the mall that is going to put on mine for me on that great day. Now as for cases Seidio has some, Best Buy will have some from Rocket Fish as well as Platnum (sp). I like the ones in the sprint picture so I am holding off on getting my hard case till launch day.

The Body Glove case I will take a look at as well as the car mount, maybe the HDMI dock n Cable as well. Screen protecter i will get from Zagg and I already have a Jawbone and Plantronics BT headsets.

Sorry, bodyglove is a two-piece snap-on case, it blows in every regard. I have gone through two of them with my TP2. Both of them are absolutely useless now since the tabs broke off first on the back piece and then on the front piece within a week of putting them on my device.

Useless to make a two-piece snap on case if there is no slide-out keyboard in my opinion. They took the TP2 body glove case, retooled the cutouts and are selling it for the Evo. Useless product for the TP2 is now a useless product for the Evo.

um... they couldn't have. two different sizes and no sliding parts. granted, I haven't physically checked either case so they both could be crappy, but there's no way they just retooled the tp2 case.

i had that body glove case for the TP ... two piece set .. it added a nice grip but def allot of bulk to the device .. and i also never used the clip that u would add to the back because then your screen would stick out

the white color will be a cool add on but i dont want the added bulk

There are alot of differences between the TP2 and the EVO, KB is a main one and the size of the phone for two. My GF has the BodyGlove for the Hero and it works well. I would like to see where you found info that they reused the TP2 case for the EVO.

I really like the bodyglove case for my TP2, I hope they come out with something similar for the EVO with the button on back cause that's how I hang my phone in my work truck, then I just take it off for the weekend. Anyone know of such a case?
