EVO: MicroSD or MicroSDHC?

Sorry if this question has been answered. I did a search and couldn't find anything on this issue for the EVO.

I'm looking into buying a 32G microSD for the EVO. Any suggestions on whether the EVO will accept a microSDHC vs. microSD? I'm planning on using the memory card for taking HD video and pictures. Is there any real difference between the SD and SDHC? Thanks!

You're positive you'll need one that large between times you can download off the phone? I thought I read it was coming with a 16gb card, that's more then enough for me. Shoot, i've still never filled up the 2gb card in my TP.

If you check out the official Sprint Evo Web page and click on View Full specs you should see that it will support Micro SD cards up to 32gb which is a HC card or High Capacity card. This would also allow it to be backwards compatible with any micro SD card out as far as I am aware.

right now Sandisk offers 32gb cards for about 200 bucks. I am sure they are cheaper but due to the fact they are still new on the market you will pay a premium for them. Stick with the 16gb which can be found for 60 to 80 bucks and then upgrade 6 months from now and probably get it at half the price.

I would not suggest a 32gb card as it is a class 2..for HD video things like class 6 makes a difference.

i could have sworn with micro sd cards 8gb and up was considered sdhc!!

the evo will support both but for best resoults use class 6

4gb and up are considered SDHC. There are a few Micro SD (non HC) that are 4gb but they are hard to find.
