Rooting HTC EVO3D

I am planning on rooting my phone now but I am not sure it it will brick because I have always updated through Sprint's OTA updates. Is it possible to still root the phone without bricking it?

if you took latest over the air updates. your probably on boot loader 1.50 your only choice is to htc unlock.

HTC method is pretty easy.. They give you a layout on what needs to be done...

Only problem for htc unlock is its harder to install custom roms. I wish 1.50 update would be unlockable the regular way. Oh well. By the time it is I'll be ready to update to an lte phone from htc.
