I know this post is a little late, and I'm not even sure exactly what the thread was really about but I just installed the HTC fm radio on my evo (although not the one poster here). All I did to install it was run the HTC sync on my pc and install it from there. I just had to make sure that unknown sources was checked in security.

I tried it on my HTC sensation on custom rom cm-10 it gives the following error: "Install: can't create '/system/app/htcFMRadio.apk' readonly file system
