Sprint refuses to replace defective phone
Wow. I have been with sprint for over ten years and my HTC EVO 3d that I've had for 7 months has been giving me issues. I take it to get fixed at the Woodbridge nj store and they tell me they won't do anytging I have to go through insurance. I have treated thus phone like gold and it is in almost the exact condition i recieved it in. Now if i had done something to damage the phone I would gladly pay the deductible but this amounts to extortion. They sell ne a faulty product that doesn't work property and say I will have to pay for another phone to replace it. Otherwise I'm stuck with a phone that doesn't do the job of the service I pay for. Or I can cancel my contract and pay them a termination fee. Outright extortion.

Re: Sprint refuses to replace defective phone
Take it to another store.
The only thing you need to prove in front of them is whatever isn't working. If you can't prove it, they will ignore you and tell you they can' t help you. I had an intermittent lockup on one of my phones, and they wouldn't help me since the in store eval was always OK. I even had it on video. They didn't care. As soon as it happened, we ran down to the store with it locked up. They didn't have a choice at that point. |
Re: Sprint refuses to replace defective phone
First send an email to dan@sprint.com about your situation and if they can't help then yea I would cancel and head to a different carrier.

Re: Sprint refuses to replace defective phone
Is it a sprint owned store or third party? We have some issues like that from indirect stores.

Re: Sprint refuses to replace defective phone
I miss good old Sprint days..you just call or take it to store and they actually replace device without giving you hemorrhoid.
Call tech support/advance tech support..explain your problem..if they can't help..Speak to a supervisor. Maybe they can do exchange..and lastly if the conversation is not going anywhere..tell them to transfer to retention folks and explain the situation and they will replace it after approved by tech support. Don't bother going to store they will turn you down. if the phone call doesn't work..lastly email. Try emailing dan@ or just logging into your mysprint and send email. if you can get the phone replace using above steps..sorry. |

If they said its a insurance claim they must think you damaged it. Not much you can do. |
Re: Sprint refuses to replace defective phone
Don't waste your time on the phone with support unless it's a software issue.
If it's hardware, they'll just tell you to take it to a store after talking to 5 people and wasting half a day. Business support used to replace phones, but they don't do it any more. |
