voice mail not working

Hey When I had my Evo I could see the voice mail numberand hit play from the list. Now I have to dial my voice mail number. I went into settings and it only had the option for carrier in voice mail service. Any clues how to get back my old voice mail?

One thing to check: Are you using Handcent for SMS? If so, update it. The older version of this app took over my voicemail when I had enabled Handcent to be the default messaging service.
