Please help me with my e-mail icon not showing the correct number of emails
 

Hello,

I probably set something incorrectly so I'll tell you what I have and what I want. On my home page I have the default icon for emails, messages, etc. However the mail icon is rarely showing the correct number of messages.

I have one email account.
It is set for push between the hours of 6AM and 8PM - it is currently a tad past 7 AM so push should be enabled.
I have a check on background data enabled
I have a check on autosync enabled.
I am using a stock rom
I have all the latest updates firmware/software/prl

My email does update when I click on the icon and it opens my inbox however I'd like the icon to show me the correct number of new messages.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Are u talking about the normal mail app? If so you sure you have the peak setting to 5 mins? That's the most frequent setting

I am talking about regular email running off a stock firmware with the latest updates.

I believe push with an exchange server should be instantaneous (or as frequent as possible).

ok yeah ive never used the exchange accounts on android, i use the gmail account with google apps sorry i cant help more. sorry i cant help more

boe - click on the menu button when you're in the exchange account, click on folders and select all folders. The miscount may be because they are not in your inbox.

Thanks - I tried that - same issue - however the numbers are even larger because it counts my new deleted items as unread even if they are read. Until I open my deleted folder on my phone.
