Just came across an even newer version of the play store.. v3.8.16. Again I've attached both the original and also a modded version that's patched to skip self-update and remove device restrictions(Vending-3.8.16.noupdate.nosig-aligned). Enjoy..

An even newer version of the market in now available!! It's pretty much same, just fixes a few bugs and is said to be alil faster too.

Edit: 12-14-2011.. New version of the Android Market 3.4.4 is now available.
Note: Root is not required.
Note: If the Market starts force closing, just open Settings > Applications > Manage > Market, and clear data.

Recent changes:
- Added free songs of the week;
- Designed for Google Music;
- New setting: Auto-update app;
- New setting: Update over Wi-Fi only;
- New setting: Auto-add shortcut;
- Smaller font;
- New app drawer icon;
- Microphone (voice command) button in search menu;
- Star rating chart on app page;
- Minor UI tweak.

-delete current "Vending.apk" from /system/app
-rename to "Vending" (without quotes) and move to /system/app
-set permissions to RW_R__R__
-reboot

can also be done with ADB !!

Just access this site from your phone. and you can download the attachment. If you did not check Unknown Sources to allow installation of non-market apps in settings/applications you will need to do that in order to install it

My EVO 3D still hasn't been updated to the initial version of the new market. I know I can manually update, but I really don't care which I have. It's kind of strange that it hasn't updated yet.

Have you successfully Installed the "3.16" Market? I could not. I found it interesting that the file size of 3.33mb for the "3.16" version is the same as my already installed 3.15 version. I tried to install it and it failed, I suspect I had a problem because the "3.16" file was the same as 3.15, but just a different file name.

Do you mean here on ppc the download doesn't get past 2-4% or downloads from the market itself? Has anyone else ran into the same problem? If needed I'll post up the 3.3.11 version for ya..let me know

Nevermind I had to download it from my computer. I'm using tapatalk on my phone and it wouldn't let me download. Worked fine on my computer.
