Disable Gmail Alert
 

I have 3 accounts setup with my phone. 1 of them is my Gmail account and the other 2 are personal/school related. For the 2nd 2 accounts, if I tap the email notification from the notification list, it opens that inbox which is fine.

However, if I have an email in my Gmail account, it has a different icon, and it opens up in a different inbox app. However, if I go to the mail app and select my Gmail account, it looks just like the other accounts.

How do I make it so it uses the default mail app and not the strange Gmail one?

this is how i would do it...

1. disable gmail sync
2. disable gmail notifications
3. add your gmail account to the regular mail app

note: gmail notifications are PUSH with the gmail app..i dont know if they function the same way with the MAIL app
