Wi-Fi Issues..
So my Evo 3D wouldn't connect to my g/f's router. It did at first, but no longer does.
So I sat down just now and took some time to play with things and I think I might have found the issue... the router's channel was set to 1. Change it back to 6 and it connects without issue. Same with my g/f's iphone 3, wouldn't connect. but now it does. My laptop and xbox 360 had no issues connecting. So if your Wi-Fi isn't working, try to see what channel it's on. |
Re: Wi-Fi Issues..
Maybe if you forget the network after the channel changed and reconnect, it'll work...
It seems odd that a different channel would affect it since (I thought) it uses the SSID to identify the network. |
Re: Wi-Fi Issues..
I've tried that on both our devices, still didn't wanna connect to it. Strange...

Re: Wi-Fi Issues..
Are you up and running now?
I was doing some testing on my new modem / wifi router and I changed the channel from 1 to whatever and I could connect on every channel. |
Re: Wi-Fi Issues..
You might have been seeing this connection issue as a result of several wireless networks on the same channel. A lot of people keep the factory channel setting on their router (which could be ch. 1) and devices have a hard time connecting when that frequency is being broadcast by multiple routers. This is espescially common in apartments.

Re: Wi-Fi Issues..
its not a newer N router using 40mhz channels is it? that could be causeing some problems for non channel binding devices like our phone.
