Qualcomm Releases Vellamo: A New Web Benchmarking App

Qualcomm has released their own benchmark tool.

Qualcomm benchmarking tool

I just searched the market for Vellamo. Scored 732 with no apps closed, no bloatware removed, and not oced.

Scored 959 with bloatware removed, apps killed, and oced to 1.7

Anyone find it funny that their own app fails to recognize the two cores correctly

I think what is going on is they are not using the SMP feature of Gingerbread. So the ones that end up on top are the Honeycomb based devices who have native support for multiple cores. Once Ice cream sandwich is released it will show actual numbers.

@gTen Does this app show how much better the Epic is than HTC devices, or will this even run on a Samsung device?

Yes it does work on all devices...I'm not gonna turn this into a comparison thread..but from what I am reading sgs2 has the highest score for "phones" at the moment.
