App icon bug?

Anyone else move some of their apps to the SD card and then the icons no longer work? They work, but don't show what program they are, just the default Android icon. They still work, it's just kind of annoying and I wanted to see if anyone else was having issues as well or it was just something I was doing. Thanks.

Yes, I have the same problem was wondering if it is caused by using a 16 gb class 2. Used this card in EVO 4G with out problem.
I've also noticed my GPS is slow connecting and phone loses GPS signal on occasion.

I got the stock 8gb card and mine does it too

What's probably happening is that the home screen panels are loaded before it's scanned the SD card. At that point, the apps with icons aren't there so you get a generic icon. (The Evo Shift behaved the same way)

For those apps you link to the homescreens, move them back to main storage.

If you change the"scene" the icons reappear. Read this on HTC user forum

Of course it will because then the SD card is fully mounted.

If you could restart sense, the icon would reappear just fine too. Same effect.

Go into setting on your 3D and uncheck "fastboot", power down phone, then turn back on. This might fix some or all of the problems associated with this.

Under the fastboot menu, it does state that using fastboot might be incompatible with some applications. What happenes is when using fastboot, it just puts the phone in a hibernation/suspend mode and doesn't actually reboot like a PC does.

go into your wallpaper area change the sense layout. then back to what you want. its because ginger bread boots before sd mounts. i have same crap. thats my work around. fixes it . until next reboot. also i use extend battery lite free from market. it has a task kill that kills sense forces it to reload after sd is already mounted. that way works fine as well.
