Did you move those apps to your SD card?

Re: wrong icons

I would uninstall then reinstall those apps giving you grief (do not install to SD). Not all apps yet support 2.3.3 and/or the new resolution of the EVO 3D causing this issue. I would only install the apps that say they can be installed to SD in the description where you downloaded them.

As new updates get pushed to those apps, I'm sure they will update them to be compatible with being installed to SD.

I have had that happen to me a twice. I have powered the phone down since then and all is fine. It does do it to the apps that are on the SD card, but it was not a problem until the 3d... Worked fine on the Evo.

I find that rebooting the Evo, my icons did the same thing. Just had to wait a few until phone fully read everything for them to turn back to proper Icons. Happens with the ones you move to SD.

Re: wrong icons

Waiting for me never fixed it. Neither did fully powering down. Someone stated (I don't remember where) that when fast boot is checked, some apps are incompatible causing issues with icons and features of that app. The only way though I got them to work correctly was to do what I said in post #4.

I guess every phone is different!! lol

Re: wrong icons

If you have them on the launcher then remove the shortcut and add it back. The icons will be restored.
