Let HTC hear your thoughts on the 3D

Per a MODs request i am making this thread on PPCGEEKS as well... being that it is already on XDA.

After speaking with HTC on a few occasions, they wont be fixing issues unless they get reports from multiple users. So take a minute and give them a quick email or call to let them hear about your concerns.

This is an email that i have sent to HTC, just to get the ball rolling, some minor issues.

HTC EVO 3D

1- Flashlight (minor)

I do not see the flashlight application anymore in my app drawer. It has also been verified that on the original software version, this is not on the device. Why was it taken out?
(The flashlight is floating around here on XDA to get this resolved by ourselves)

2- HTC battery widget was available on the HTC EVO 4g ... why is it missing on the 3d?

3- Animation settings have been set to all in display settings BUT when i manually shut screen off with power button, it just goes black. No more of that cool retro TV off animation. That went away after the system updates on the phone.

4- Still looking for explanation on this HTC TIP

how would u add additional icons to that bottom tab like the tip states that u can?

NOW For the main reason why everyone should contact HTC

HTC’s CEO, Peter Chou has confirmed in a quote from the HTC facebook page that they will no longer be locking the bootloaders on their devices. The bootloader is still locked on the HTC EVO 3d, can u please provide an update on when that will no longer be locked? Myself and many others are using that as a determining factor if we are going to return the device.

HTC makes it easy and inviting to hear from their customers. That is what makes them one of the top sellers.

My only major concern is the speaker. It is nowhere near as loud as my Evo 4G and has a very tinny sound. It is practically unusable. Is this an issue for everyone or do I have a defective phone?

No, it's not only your phone. The sound is definitely tinny and not as robust at the EVO 4G's speaker. It lacks the low range that the EVO had but the high's and vocal quality is definitely a lot clearer than the EVO so I suppose it's a bit of a tradeoff...

I'm also wondering whatever happened to all of the other Sense 3.0 features (navigation, map) that weren't included in this rom that I tried out on the Sensation port on my EVO.

And last but not least, definitely wanting the bootloader to be unlocked so that we can all enjoy the modding and developing we had on the EVO 4G.

This phone kind of sucks. I won't spend time calling HTC. I will just get a new phone. My time cost more than a new device. PERIOD.DOT.

External speaker and my biggest gripe is the radio. Where I got coverage on my EVO 4G I don't on my EVO 3D.

I agree, my wife has my Evo 4G and that has better 4G reception than my 3D. In the same spot, the 4G will have good signal and the 3D is searching for signal. My Evo View Tablet is kinda in the middle.
