im not concerned about how loud it gets. i use ear piece and never blast the ringtone or text notification volume.

I performed the changes posted on xda, while my speaker does sound a tad bit louder is there any app( phone or computer ) that I can use to test the changes to make sure it isnt just a placebo effect Im experiencing ..

also Im not sure weather to service my 3d I also have the crackling noise while on phone calls when the speaker is at its max and this is before and after the changes I made

Yeah its kinds crap on the phone my epics sound was fantastic this not so much

I did it to mine (set all to 3) and it didn't seem to make much difference, but if you do this and then install the DSPManager, it makes a huge difference. root is not needed for our phone to use DSPManager.

"service my 3d"? Hope you weren't meaning...well, ya know....oil change maybe?
