Accidently triggering capacitive buttons
Hey guys, anyone else accidentally triggering the capacitive buttons. I noticed that when you hover over them they activate. Is this normal? This is my first capacitive phone sooo.

Might take some getting used to if you haven't used a capacitive device before, but it's nothing major. You should have no problems after about a week of using it ;) |

Re: Accidently triggering capacitive buttons
yeah after a bit of usage, It's still very easy to hit the search or home buttons when holding the phone in landscape mode.
Didn't seem to be as big an issue with my employee's Evo 4G. he did have a zagg screen protector over his though |
Re: Accidently triggering capacitive buttons
Yeah, it's crazy, you don't even have to actually touch them! The screen is ultra sensitive too, I was trying to find a setting to maybe make everything less sensitive but couldn't find anything.

Re: Accidently triggering capacitive buttons
yeah i couldn't find a sensitive setting either
after one day of use, i'm used to it now. |
Re: Accidently triggering capacitive buttons
haha, trying not to but still triggering that search button like nuts.
|
Re: Accidently triggering capacitive buttons
Yeah I miss CM.. I had the search button disabled.

Re: Accidently triggering capacitive buttons
For now, we are at its mercy. The best thing that worked for me was to get a case and that kept me from hitting the search button, especially when watching videos. But since there aren't any cases out for it yet, we have to get used to it til one drops.

There are plenty of cases for it!! In fact Sprint had 2 different otterboxes for it in stock! |

Re: Accidently triggering capacitive buttons
I can't take a video without hitting one of the buttons and canceling the recording at some point. It is so damn annoying, because it's nearly impossible to hold the phone to take video or even take a pic without getting near those buttons.

Re: Accidently triggering capacitive buttons
"Your holding it wrong" Saint Jobs 2010, I couldn't resist :) After the first week I don't seem to hit those buttons much anymore.
|
Re: Accidently triggering capacitive buttons
I thought I wasn't hitting them as much... but I am... It's hard to avoid when rotating the phone
