I'm really hoping the HTC EVO 4G keyboard can be ported (without root required) to the EVO 3D because the SwiftKey X Trial is just annoying in comparison. It was great initially, but when I started typing emails for work, insanely frustrating, lol.

It's not SwiftKey X Trial that's the problem, it's surely me. I just don't like it and am tired of trying. I went back to the stock keyboard without the arrows for the time being.

installed v.09 & get a force close, yes I'm rooted

Might have been a bad download. Try downloading it again.

If that doesn't work you might want to go to the original thread.over at xda and download his latest version

i tried the new one & only keyboard i can use is this POS Swype
it says it been flashed successfully but still no keyboard

Edit: heard it's causing problems for us on the latest 2.17 update

Ya a lot of stuff isn't working with 2.17
That's why I'm not running it

yeah I had to flash 2.17 over again to get my stock keyboard back
I was stuck with Swype & I don't like that crap plus it was slow & laggy

If your not wanting to.go back to 2.08 then I'd sudjest you try out zone23's ROM. He has all the available updated files for 2.17 so if the keyboard is gana work, I'd say that's your best bet for now.
