Where is the link, I don't see it in the OP ? What hboot do you have ? I have 1.5 and cannot get Wifi Tether Beta. Haven't tried other ROMs, but I'm open to any suggestions... about to take a road trip and I'm coming really close to switching back to my EVO 4g just so teathering will work.

I've scoured the internet and people always say the Routing fix works, and I've had no luck. Phone doesn't broadcast network to connect to. And always says Started with Errors, even with Routing fix, version 3.1 beta 6 from Wifi Tether googlecode website. Thanks in advance.

PS:
Sprint hotspot works with this ROM, but does it do 4g ? Not available where I am at to test, but will be available where I am road tripping.... And 3g is really slow with Hotspot. About a 10th of what i ge directly on my phone.

For those that do not want to wipe /data, open the zip using 7zip or WinRAR, go to this folder:

OMJ_EVO_3D_2.3.4_GB_Custom_deodexed_v2.4.zip\META-INF\com\google\android

extract the attached updater-script to that folder, close, then flash. I modified this one to NOT wipe/format /Data

So.... that means that we cannot update this one... we have to wipe the data no matter what...? :(

Before updating ROMS. Can someone suggest a simple backup method? I've tried Titanium and My Backup but, I have a feeling that every time I restore the apps, something is installed that messes with the new ROM. Almost every time I do restores I get FC popups.

WiFi hotspot seems to be working only with 3G and with 4G. Is this how it is supposed to be or am I missing something?

Hi OMJ, I just wanted to thank you for putting together such a great ROM for the Evo 3D.

I have been installing and trying other ROMs for the Evo 3D all weekend and your ROM is the only one that functions perfectly right from the start. Everything works (3G, 4G, MMS, WiFi, GPS, music player, browser, camera, etc) and I haven't run across an app yet that FC's.
