These files are huge compare to Evo 3 times about. No wonder the evo3d has 1gb rom

yeah they are...I've got one custom rom ready, I'm gonna build a few....stock, deodexed, bloat removed....

I have a TP2 and have been a follower of Medium Hill and Energy ROMS.

This will really be a new experience leaving Windows.

to date, there's not root yet....but it's being worked on...

I make a copy of my Sprint ROM before I flash to the cook ROM. These are the same thing right? So my backup is better or this one here?

yep....run the exe, wait for the ROM update utility to load....leave that window open.

if using win7, hit start, then %TEMP% in the search box. if using winxp, hit start, run, then %TEMP%.

once in the temp folder, search for *.zip, it will be named rom.zip, copy it to another location, then u can close the HTC rom update utility.
