New from wm need help with pim info
 

hi there
came from lamagio wm and never was able to backup my contacts and calendar. now i need them on my new DINC and cant find a way to get them over. I used PIM backup to back up my data on wm. So, any ideas??

The Droid Incredible forum here is pretty dead compared to the Imagio forum, for some reason. Try asking your question at androidforums.com.

open up a gmail account and use google sync to save your contacts, calender etc.
then when you set up your account on your incredible everything will come over.

and please don't call it a dinc lol.

For the contacts I had to save all of my contacts to a CSV file and then import them into google. For the Calendar only you could try and use the google calendar sync program that they have. On their site they have strict requirements on what it works with though. I have Windows 7 Professional and Microsoft Outlook 2007 and it works great. I still primarily use Outlook for my calendar and then go into gmail for my contact management.

These forums seem like they are a lot quieter than most because of the aggressive moderators getting rid of generalized android questions and moving them to the appropriate forums that they belong to. Otherwise the specific phone forums are just for that, the specific phone that they have. Due to the same Android system running on multiple phones with their respective manufacturer tweaks there may not be many phone specific questions.
