Hot swaps..or extended battery ?

I'm torn between getting an extended bat. or just sticking with my 3 extra batteries, 3 batts sounds like a lot, but not when your doing hot swaps during work, batt life isn't an issue, I have my DINC tweaked just right, I'm just a heavy user. I just dont want to get an X batt and not be able to protect my DINC (no cases to fit )...any advice ?

I carry 3 extra batteries myself because I like how small the device is, doesn't bother me to just swap.

As an addition to what Wide meantioned, have you considered a better kernal maybe an undervolted and Over Clocked?
