how is the Exchange wireless sync integration?

I'm considering switching from the HTC Imagio (Windows Mobile 6.5) to the Droid Incredible. One of the main things for me is to be able to sync, over Verizon's network, with the Exchange server we have at work. I sync emails, calendar, and addressbook (and eventually will be syncing Notes and Tasks). Can someone who uses Exchange tell me if there are any limitations, pitfalls, or gotchas here?

thanks!

Mike

You can sync everything except for Notes and Tasks. To sync emails, calendar, addressbook, and Tasks (I don't know about notes) you can use the app Touchdown or RoadSync(from the makers of Docs To Go).

What I do is use the built-in Exchnage to sync my emails, calendar, and addressbook. I've moved all my notes to Evernote. I've setup a Remember The Milk account, moved my Tasks to it and use the free app Astrid to sync and manage my repeating tasks.

It requires that you have security enabled, which means that you have to unlock your phone with a password every time you turn the backlight on. Your administrator has the ability to disable this requirement, apparently, but I went ahead and downloaded HTC Sync and just synced my Outlook to the phone via USB. Other than the password issue, though, the Exchange sync worked well and was pretty cool.

Exchange works great with contacts, calendar and mail. And btw shoth you can use a app called LockPicker available in the market for download to remove the password requirement without administrators permissions. :)

Thanks I actually just found out about Lockpicker this morning when I was talking to our IT guy about disabling the password requirement. He was able to do it so I don't have to use it. Thanks!

Quick question, in WM active sync you could tell exchange which "sub folders" you wanted to sync, I don't see that in the Droid?

Found my own answer, had to go shopping at the Market, Touchdown for Incredible works great...

I like to solve problems, but once I couldn't solve the one. And I by chance found out a probability solution for my and this proposition too - repair edb file.

I made the move to the Inc from the Imagio and couldn't be happier. I was concerned about Exchange support as well but it really does everything the Imagio could do and doesn't require any extra apps to be installed.
