yeah, i enjoyed android on my tp2 but i wanted all the features to work, then i thought, "hey, why not get a phone meant to run android" haha. so here i am with an incredible...

i won't lie, i feel a little overwhelmed with android right now, there is just so much and i know so little. however i will fix this in the coming weeks, haha. also i was really worried about coming from the tp2 keyboard, but it is really easy to type on this thing. plus the voice recognition works very very well!

Can you tether with this phone? I'm seriously thinking about selling my Omnia 2 if tethering can easily be done on this phone.

Yes, tethering is a feature built in when you connect via USB it is the very last option

"Charge only"
"HTC Sync"
"Disk Drive"
"Mobile Broadband Connect"

WiFi sharing will come at some point, whether by rooting or an Android update, possibly 2.2 which is coming in May

If this helps, click Thanks! Thanks! :P

Yes they do, but how they detect it is beyond me since its built in to the OS.

HTC Droid Incredible tethering to cost $10 or $25 per month

Re: I got my Droid Incredible Today

OK....MrGoodCat....I did it!! I went and pulled the trigger on the Incredible!!

I went to my local VZW store (not a corporate one) and did an alternate upgrade on another line (switch it to mine when I get home). They have a promotion where I leave a deposit and on Saturday the store gets the Incredibles in and for the $199 I get the Incredible, a car charger, a case and a bluetooth headset (a $125 value package).

In doing the alternate upgrade I still save my new every 2 credit for another line to use in three months, so it is a win-win!!

I still have a day to wait though....ugh LOL

syrguy1969 , The wait is well worth it , you won't regret it.
Yesterday morning I woke up at 5am (couldn't sleep) and suffered until 2:30 when fedex came. The phone is everything I thought it would be and there are great apps at the app market. Still learning how different things work but it's fun. Tomorrow will be here before you know it .

Re: I got my Droid Incredible Today

Actually today is flying, so the wait isn't too tough. It is made a LOT easier that I still love my Omnia!! It is a fantastic device that even tricked-out as much as it is and the latest 6.5.x ROM installed it is still snappy and super-reliable, it will be taken care of in retirement and I won't hesitate to use it again in a pinch!!
