FYI

wag3slav3 at xda-developers has developed a method to ROOT any 2.1 ROM (Factory or Leaked). I'm not sure if this works on the 1.5 ROM but I thought everyone could benefit from this.

because i can't scroll down in bootloader mode to do the things i need to and since i loaded the bootloader i can't flash the new update without it going through the bootloader which you have to be able to scroll to do, i tried hard rooting it, and had success up until the point where i had to restart my phone holding vol up/down[can't remember which]+the power button; if i could get the bootloader off i could but its seeming more trouble than it's worth since my g/f wants this phone [because she could care less about root and she has a crappy crackberry] and just get a tp2 since i know winmo, i can cook my own roms[again] and run android if i wanted since they have a port for it :] like i keep telling people, you can run android on winmo, but you can't run winmo on android :]
