Im not sure is this is android 2.0 but there is a rom update for the droid

sorry for the attitude, but us ERIS users haven't even been rooted yet, let alone receive a decent update.

its called droid eris it is a droid. And moto droid is 2.0.1 with 2.1 for rooted users. i have both. Eris looks better but moto is better every where els. Battery speed display just all aroun hard ware except for the crappy battery cover and lines where the screen sits its is the best android phone on verizon

oh yeh the droid eris is ssuposed to get an updat within two weeks acording to verizon spokesman but i herd that befor with updates

Debates go on and on...
Hard to deny the success of the Droid. Tt's a great device. But the design is a bit hard to take...they should take the keyboard from TP2, skin over Eclair with Sense, and they, by jezum, you'd really have something.

Apparently it was supposed to drop the end of January, and was pushed back, and is now expected Feb 12-15th. Sadly I have nothing to back this up other than the word of a Verizon rep.

2.1 from what I understand.....based on the 2.1 video I saw from the Hero.
