Help! Problem with Storage Memory on device

Have a touch diamond phone..everytime I sync my phone the storage memory on my phone gets less and less. Currently using a custom ROM but was having the same problem with sprint's as well. I have checked all my files and have no pics, music, ringtones, nothin on the device-everything is in the internal storage. I don't get it-I know if I do a hard reset I'm just gonna go through the same thing. Any thoughts?

If you go to explorer and look for the temp folder, it may be populating, check this first.

I did-there was nothing in the temp folder. But thanks :-)
