I can't justify buying a battery that cost $8 0 (61%) of phone value ($130 used now). a pretty big part of me thinks there isn't much difference between mugens and the cheap chinese batteries on ebay. I guess availability does count though.

Just from personal exp..every mugen ive used has never let me down..honestly dont trust those noname batts. cause u never know what your going to get..But i also see your point.. Its alittle expensive..the only thing out there that i know of..

1. the seidio 1500 mih batt 49 bucks
2. the alltel 1800 mih batt with the hump back cover.. 69 bucks
3. or the mugen 3000 mih thats what 80 bucks..

those are the 3 extended batteries that i know off!

I've had the Mugen 3000 mAh for about 3 months. This is the first battery that I've had where I can go away on a 3-day weekend without a charger, use the GPS nav for a few hours, poll for e-mail every hour, spend time on the phone, and do lots of surfing, then come home with 20% battery remaining.

Trust me...It's worth the $80.
