Diamond does not detect computer
 

I have a htc diamond in which i just flashed to the Ultra Lite windows 6.5 rom. I've been using Juicy and Groove roms usually and had no problems. When I flashed the ultra lite rom it worked fine at first until it froze one time. So i took out the battery and resetted it. It then reflashed the rom when i turned it on (it said tap here to start configuring your device, etc...). So all my contacts, etc are now gone so I need to connect the phone to my computer so I can sync it with Outlook. However, it does not detect the sync center and it only charges. Can someone tell me what's wrong please?

Restart your computer and soft reset your device. See if that helps.

No it didn't work. Should I just hard reset?
