Alltel/Verizon Diamond2 is at least 60 days out
 

I just spoke with an exec at Alltel Corp HQ (they make it hard to track someone down there) and she inquired on both sides about the Diamond2. As of right now, since it's just hit the U.S. market for evaluation, neither side has plans to implement it within the 30 to 60 day window.

sucks as I just bought the D1 and was thinking I could get the D2 within my exchange period, but oh well.

i hope alltel gets it so its not as crippled as the verizon one. its worth it

given that vzw just released the diamond, i wouldnt expect to see the 2 until the holidays at the absolute earliest. if you havent noticed theyre not so good with getting devices out in a timely fashion

if verizon gets the diamond first i would definately go with the d2
i find myself using my hard keyboard less and less
except for long long messages which i dont send very often
