'New Text' indicator takes forever to go away on TEXT tab
 

Does anyone have this issue on the latest official Sprint Touch diamond ROM where you may have received multiple texts and say for example on the TEXT tab, it's indicator says '4' and as you thumb-slide through the messages, you have to be on THAT message for 4 seconds roughly before the indicator goes to '3'. It's really annoying.

Any iideas on a regedit or anything would be greatly appreciated.

Yep, was a pain in the *** so I got rid of that ROM. The Maintenance update was horrible IMO.

our if you go to all messages then open the message it should go away

It should, but it doesn't, that's what's so annoying about it.

What you have to do, is if there were multiple message from the same person, some of them will be bolded in the threaded message. Those are the "unread" messages. Press up on the d pad to roll over them, and they will go away.

close and open the messages multiple times. It's a known annoyance.

Hmm... I'm still holding out hope that there's an XML somewhere that can be edited to correct this.

This always bothered me too...I'm one of those people who never has unread messages or notifications on fb or on my phone. Pet peeve I suppose, but it makes it easier to tell when you have new stuff to see. Took me awhile to discover this though!

you mean like when your in the tab and reading the txt and it still shows up new on the taskbar? i think they all do that. if its a short txt yeah its annoying but makes sense with a txt as long as the screen.

No, we're talking about the new text number on the TouchFLO text messaging button. It stays a green circle with the number of new messages until you leave each message on the screen for about 5 seconds each.

We'd like to scroll to the text message TouchFLO tab, see the message, and have it marked as read after, say, 1 second of viewing.

ahh like if you have 5 ppl that txed you all 3 words you cant just scroll up read sroll up read you have to scroll up wait, scroll up.

that's what bothered me too. I searched through the registry but haven't been able to identify a entry for it at all. Bummer!

If there is a way to change it, it'll be in a Manila xml, not in the registry.
