Diamond doesn't connect to PC
 

HELP!

for some reason, my diamond doesn't recognize that it is connected to my computer. meaning active sync doesn't show up, though it is installed on both my computer and phone.

it used to connect fine before, just plug and go, but now my phone just charges.

i've tried using other pcs,and same thing

any ideas?

This happened to me several months ago. My phone stopped syncing with my PC and just charged when connected to the PC.

Tried everything from restoring, flashing, googling, etc and no luck.

Ended up replacing my Diamond for another.

dude, uncheck one of the boxes in the usb to pc connections if you have problems

Go to settings -> connections -> USB to PC

uncheck the box that says "enable advanced network functionality"

soft reset

try to sync.

See if that works, if not, post here with any changes you have made recently. Any new ROM you flashed? Any registry changes?

Also make sure your PC is "Completely" up to date as well.

also try clear storage and temp if you haven't already.

Sorry for the second post, this was supposed to b an edit to the first, oh well, lol.

EDIT: Also make sure that active sync is running when you open the taskmanager on your phone. If it's not, then it won't connect.

or reinstall snyc program worked for mr one other thing worked was change roms some have problems snycing not all are fixed

if its a ROM problem then how to i load a new ROM on if i can't connect it to the computer?

Maybe uninstall then reinstall activesync.

just put the phone in bootloader &just run the rom that way power,vol down & center pad then hit reset to enter bootloader
