Picture Messaging for nTelos Diamond
 

Important: None of nTelos data plans include text or picture messages. If you do not want to be charged per message sent and received you will need to add one of their messaging package.

Using the Sprint MMS .cab that was posted here originally I have added a second cab that inputs the proper registry settings to get picture messaging working on the Touch Diamond and this will also work for the Touch Pro.

This is a 3 step process so you don't have to enter the registry settings yourself.

Step 1: Install the Sprint Arcsoft cab 5.0.82.79 (can be gotten from here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=61802)
Step 2: Delete ONLY the Arcsoft MMS UA folder and it's subfolders using a registry editor such as PHM Regedit
Step 3: Install the nTelos MMS Registry cab

After that you now be able to send and receive picture messages on nTelos.

Note: It has been noted that a few handset models on nTelos are not correctly receiving the image on their handsets from the Diamond. This appears to be something the service provider will have to fix.

have everything installed but still can not send pic messages. any suggestions?

Same here Inferno. Messages are coming back fail to delivered. I have a HTC PPC-6800 (Mogul)

I uploaded the cab again just to make sure it was the correct one but it worked when I installed it. I would have to work on the 6800 to get it working. This registry settings maybe different for that unit.

What model handsets do you have and did you make sure you deleted the "Arcsoft MMS UA" folder and not the "Arcsoft" folder after you installed the first cab?

During busy network times you may have to try and resend the message.

Yes, inferno deleted the Arcsoft MMS UA folder. Tried it again got the same results. Model HTC PPC-6800

Just a note.. All ntelos htc settings are exactly the same.

After deleting the folder, I installed the ntelos cab settings. It writes a new folder but the folder is empty. This could be the issue.
