Well you can get Skype working but that's not free.... If you use your nighttime minutes that is free. Or you can do Skype->Skype for free.

But if you know you want to use voip a lot Skype is $3.00 a month unlimited calling to North America so it's pretty cheap. But you will want a headset or what I do is turn the sound down to the lowest bar and then even though it's through the speaker phone the volume is so low you can use it like talking on the cell like a normal phone on the ear-cheek.

There is free VOIP software just not free VOIP services. Skype is free as software but costs to use it to call landlines. Google Voice is free, but again the service to hook into it wont be (ala your ISP, Phone or Cable provider).

Who exactly are you wanting to call? Give us some details and maybe we can propose a solution within your budget (a la free).

Google Voice WILL be free....Cant wait! Wish i would of signed up with that other company before google bought them ](*,)
