Backlight kind of staying on when sleeping...
 

When it's time for my screen and backlight to turn off the, hmmm, how to describe this, i can see it's sort of still lit up, but just a blank screen, like a slightly lit up black screen, and even if i push the off button (without actually powering down) it stays the same, screen doesn't quite turn off. I have to take the battery out, turn it back on. it happens about 5 times a day.

i'm currently using the caulkulin rom, but it was happening before that. resets haven't helped. is this a hardware issue maybe?

That happened to me once. I did a hard-reset, and everything worked fine after that. As to what was really going on - I have not idea. Just back everything up and do a hard-reset.

k, thanks. : ). Best way to do a hard reset? Power + Vol Down + Enter + Reset button while off, right?

No need for the reset button when doing a manual hard reset...turn off your phone hold volume down, enter and power for a few seconds

But the easiest way to hard reset is start/settings/system/clear storage/1234/yes


Remember to only clear device memory NOT internal storage

Drat. Did the hard reset and still having the problem. turned off screen and it's still a lit up black screen.

It might be a hardware problem.

gah. yeah, i think it really is. ok. guess i'll sprint rom, relock and take this back to sprint. drat.

yeah man, my buddy's phone did that, and there was no hope...... it is a hardware problem....
