Dashwire cache on local storage, why?

Does anyone know how to move the Dashwire cache to internal storage? It is taking up 39mb of local storage space. I am running the latest version.

I did a search but didn't see anything on this. Please point me in the right direction if I missed it.

It appears to be a bug in Dashwire. It looks for the storage card to be called "Storage Card". Since the diamond doesn't follow standards Dashwire doesn't see the "Internal Storage". They are working on a fix for the problem.

Thanks for sharing your findings. I had to uninstall dashwire because of this problem. That post is from october and they still haven't fixed it :(

I know it's tedious, but I install dashwire, do my backup, and then uninstall it because the cache kills my storage. I reinstall it whenever I have major changes to my contacts, etc.

I also do a nightly backup with Sprite.

There is a possible fix but I haven't tried it yet. If we rename "Internal Storage" to "Storage Card" it should work. But every program would have to be reinstalled afterwards. I may try it. If I do I will post my findings.

Or just do PIMBackup.

It does not appear to be easy to rename "Internal Storage" to anything but "Internal Storage2". I guess I will remove dashwire and pim backup until they get it fixed.

Too bad there isn't a way to make a folder on the local storage that actually lives on "Internal Storage". Similar to what is possible in Windows Server 2003 where a volume can be mounted into any folder.

all you need to do is to sync manually and then delete the files for the cache and it wont download your pictures. thats what i do. diamond rules so so but diamond 5000 with mind reading control works better then dashwire. in the future you just think of the person and the phone will dial for you.

Thats a good idea, ofcourse takes a little longer but is still good.
