Interrupted internet connection with ICS
 

I have the Sprint HTC Diamond (original ROM). Have the following issue when using the ICS feature (USB) and the manual registry hack.

Made the three manual registry changes for ICS, and my laptop can successfully access the internet via the USB cable (i did not use either of the two CAB files from this site). The problem I noticed is that when the Diamond receives an incoming phone ring, the internet connection is interrupted. When the phone stops ringing, the internet connection resumes. Try it yourself. On your laptop, ping a website (ie. ping ppcgeeks.com -t), then use another phone to call your Diamond. As it rings, your pinging will stop.
Anyhow, I have no interest in using the ICS feature anymore since the hack tends to "go around" the Sprint service, and I do not want to short change Sprint. Only did the hack to see if it worked. Just want to know if others gets a dropped connection during an incoming call.

BTW: when my screen goes into power mgmnt mode, I do not lose the connection (read about others who lost connection when power mgmngt activates)

This is normal. You cannot have an active data and voice connection at the same time. There is no way around it. Well, I say you cannot, but the truth of the matter is that you can but the CDMA carriers do not have the feature enabled on their networks. No hacks will do it for you.
