Wifi Problems

Hey,
I've never really tried using my Diamond on my wireless network, but I wanted to try it tonight.

I have a D-Link Xtreme N Gigabit Router, enabled for wireless g, and n extreme. (no b, as I have no use for it).

I have installed the cab to enable G on the device, found here.

When I try and connect to the network, and enter all of my settings, it shows available, tries to connect, and then says unavailable. I have checked and rechecked settings.

Can anybody help?? TIA.

EDIT: Fixed. Had mac address filtering turned on. Forgot to turn off. Thanks everyone.

Soft reset your phone, and reset your Wireless router and then Try to connect.

EDIT: I just read through the entire thread you got the cab from. Toward the end, they decided that the cab does not do anything to our phones, as the Diamond is already G enabled out of the box. The cab was intended for the Touch HD phone. So you should probably uninstall the cab, and soft reset your phone.

Tried this, but to no avail.

Hindi. Did you check my second post? I edited it and added the following:

Well, just for the sake of argument, why not activate b and see if that works? Just as an exercise to narrow down what the problem is if nothing else.

Cheers, Henri

Oops, no didn't see that, I will uninstall and try again, and also enable b just for fun.

Will post in a bit with results... thanks all.

So I uninstalled the cab, made sure it had deleted the key in registry, set my wireless router for N, G, and B. I then reset router and phone, and still can't connect. I can however connect to my neighbor's wireless G network. I am currently writing from my laptop on my home network, the one I am unsuccesfully trying to connect to with my diamond. Grr.

Guess I should have read the whole thread before installing :silent: lol. Figured it was just one registry edit so I could always revert, but I guess it doesn't really matter. I'm keeping it uninstalled. Anyways, I will keep trying, will update if anything spectacular happens.
