Anyone else notice this problem? Backlight always on
 
I ran into a little problem tonight. I pressed the power button to turn off my phone's screen but the backlight would still stay on. There's still a faint gray/white light emitting from the screen. Only way to fix it is a soft reset.

Anyone know what the deal is?

Sounds like a manufacturer defect. Try a hard reset to see if that fixes the problem from recurring.

Ya, I agree with steve. Try a Hard Reset, if the issue persist. I suggest you bring it back to the store. Remember if you running a Custom ROM, re install the Stock ROM, then Relock.

This happened to me about a month ago. I did a soft reset and pulled the battery afterwards. I haven't seen it back ever since.

Yeah, after the soft reset I didn't run into the problem again.
