Cant Flash back to Stock Error 262
 
Hi I went to the Sprint Leaked Rom and it worked fine, then I wanted to go back or to any other ROM. So I downloaded the RUU and the Sprint Stock and follow the directions of putting the ROM in the RUU folder. I then run the RUU and I continually get a Error[262] and it says it cant do the update.

I tried to download the Rom 2x, as well as the Telus Rom and the OMJ and I get the same error. If I go and try to reflash with the Leaked Rom, it works fine.


Any ideas?

Try manually putting your phone into bootloader mode (the rainbow screen) and run the RUU again. In case you're not sure, bootloader is Power+Volume Down+Stylus in the reset hole in the back.

Unfortunately, that didn't do it, I get the same error. I posted a pic below.

I was getting this error last night.. My thread is posted the .... i flashed to mighty rom and it failed post... But our problem was that the phone was still locked... and i doubt that is urs... however there is some information in there that may be worth looking at.

I fixed the problem. I used these steps with data ive found over the web.

1. Uninstall "Active sync" , restart pc and reinstall "Active sync" .
2. Turn off All Power Saving/Battery Options, uncheck all.
3. In Connections("USB -> PC") Disable the fast connection.
4. Unlock the Phone with "Diamond Unlocker"
5. Now you can flash to whatever you want. I went to a Custom then back to 1.0.9

error 262 fixed yayaya... those steps worked.. I think its those settings in conections. tanks agians
