the error happend again. Could this be happening because the unlocking proccess didnt go so smooth?

No problem man. I freaked as well when I got this but followed the recovery process in active sync and everything was cool. I notice I get this error if I am flashing and leave the phone hooked up after it resets. I have recently been disconnecting and establishing a new sync which seems to be the ticket. Obviously only disconnecting after the flash is complete:)

Mabye this will work now.. I told her to disconnect it from battery and usb. and we are bout to try again.

okay, when you get this error, make sure to read the recovery tab listed. It should tell you to disconnect the device, take battery out for 3 seconds, put it back in and restart. it should restart normally not in bootloader screen (tricolor). if its normal, then plug it back it, establish active sync which means it should ask you to sync or cancel. You can still use active sync without by selecting cancel. that is what I do.

Good okay. She followed the steps. She has vista and WMD center so do i and mine never asked me, but I will ask her if it pops up.

sorry, I'm on xp so the process may be different. You should do a quick search in the diamond forum for vista and there should be a bunch of good information. vista is a pain in the butt.

ive had problems using vista to flash. whenever im flashing with my phone connected to a computer i use xp.

the easiest way to flash your phone is from internal storage, hands down. take the .nbh file from mightyrom or whatever rom youre trying to flash. copy this file to the root of your internal storage. then, rename this file DIAMIMG -exactly like that. then push and hold volume down, back arrow, and power button, while pressing the stylus into the reset button and hold it there as well. once you hold all of these down for a couple seconds, follow the on screen prompts. once it says Completed, just soft reset.

its the easiest, safest way to flash

try searching the threads. I listed one above that may help. also, you can enter bootloader and flash that way. getting the phone in bootloader instructions are on the first page in this thread:

13. You can check that it is Unlocked by entering the Bootloader (Power+VolumeDown and hold down Reset)(Locked and Unlocked)

i assume her phone is unlocked already. if not, it will not flash.
