setting up OWA mail

ok i'm sorry, but i have been all over the place and still cant figure out how to do this!

my work IT dept only allows remote email via OWA. i can access using opera no problem but i'd like it to sync/push/down-upload/whateveritscalled into my outlook on the phone seamlessly. HOW DO I DO IT?!?!? i have tried and TRIED to set this up to no avail thru "new account" in the messaging and thru activesync. it cant be that hard since there are only 3 simple steps when i access it via opera!!!

i go to website:
www.sodexhomail.com (but when it loads, the full address is https://www.sodexhomail.com/owa/&reason=0)

and i login with only 2 pieces of info:
domain\username: xx-xxxxxxx\myname
password: xxxxxxxx

please please PLEASE someone tell me how to set this up STEP BY STEP so i dont have to keep going thru opera!!!

thanks!

Re: setting up OWA mail

In Pocket Outlook are you entering:
Username and not domain/username
Password
Domain

Also are you checking the box for SSL? If you normally enter https:// the SSL option should be checked.

If you are entering www into the server address, remove it.

My Exchange Admin had to change my permissions on the Exchange server to allow me access to through my phone even though I could already check my email via OWA.

Re: setting up OWA mail

I'm not entirely clear on what you are trying to achieve, because it sounds like you are comparing outlook web access via Opera with push email setup via ActiveSync on your PPC.

If these are the two things you are comparing, or if you believe that because you can connect to OWA via Opera, you should be able to setup Push email via PPC ActiveSync, then you are mistaken.

beaker77 is correct when he states that Push must be enabled on the server-side.
