Emulators on the Diamond

Okay

I'm blown away on how freakin hard it is to play emulators on this phone.. Its nearly impossible. No multitouch on the screen so Noms Emulator is useless... Its basically impossible.. Try playing SNES Contra, its impossible.

Any workarounds that will make this enjoyable?

Honestly, most 'shooters' or action games will not really be worth it on the Diamond or the Touch Pro. Controls are difficult at best and the lack of multi-touch or extra buttons does not help matters.

that being said, there are plenty of games that do work, and work well. Things from RPG's (phantasy Star, dragon warrior) to puzzle games like bomberman. If I wanted to do some heavy mobile gaming, I'd play with my wife's DS, but most emu's have a game or two that I cna play to kill a couple of hours without having to carry a DS everywhere I go.

Remember, you get what you pay for...and we paid for a device that does a bit of everything pretty good.

I've linked to the EMU's that I use, just in case it is your EMU is causing you or someone else some grief. :)

Multi touch technically does not work on screen, but if you use the directional pad on the device and use the buttons on the onscreen joystick, you can use them simultaneously. So it is doable.....Can't wait for the new version of the playstation emulator to come out!

i know you can find bluetooth gamepads on ebay, but not sure about compatibility with the emulators.

on my vogue I have it in landscape, and use the D-pad and a combo of the volume rocker and touch screen. I'm not sure how the diamond is set up but you could probably use the same set-up. hopefully someone will develop an emulator that could use the accelerometer.
