Locking keys

Ok when i turn my screen off with the power button sometimes everything is locked, and sometimes not. It seems like most of the time when i put the phone it my pocket , the screen will be on when i pull it out. And i can turn the screen off and press like 2 hardware buttons, or ever touch the screen and it will turn back on. Any clue why my buttons are locking when the screen is off? using juicy 4.4

thanks very much

go to Start>Settings>System>Long Press End key> select lock device. Now when you long press the end key, the device will we locked. Hope this helps.

Are you using a light sensor controller that turns your screen on when it comes out of your pocket?

hmm i just tried a new rom and seems to be the same. When i take my stylus out or it seems when the stylus moves the screen will unlock (not terribly bad but i don't see any setting for this) and sometimes when i press home then back the screen will turn on.

Are you in a poor coverage area, or fringe area where the phone often switches between EVDO and 1xRTT? Most HTC phones have a common problem where the screen will light up or the device will turn on when they are switching between 1x and DO and/or reaqcuiring a cell site.
