Need help assigning custom sounds to events
 

I am trying to assign a custom sound to an event such as voicmail or messages on my Sprint diamond. If I put a custom file in the windows/ring folder which is where all the event sounds are located, the file does not appear on the phone if I want to assign it to an event.

Does anyone know what needs to be done to accomplish this?

Ringtones go here:

/windows/rings/
or
/my documents/my ringtones/

Alerts and alarms go here:

/windows/

here's there a way to point the ringtones or alerts to your internal storage via a regedit?
