PPCKitchen Error (File Create error dnsapi.dll)
I know some may suggest I head on over to the PPCKitchen website, but honestly, I'm sick of joining separate websites. If I could get help here, that would be preferred as I could not find any information regarding my specific error on the internet
http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/9...henerrozc4.jpg I tried doing the Run as Administrator. Doesn't work. During the Build Process, I get TONS of these boxes asking me to overwrite existing files: http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/8...teerrormx6.jpg Help much appreciated as I would like to build my own ROM. Re: PPCKitchen Error (File Create error dnsapi.dll)
Update: I've tried everything a noob cook could try; I deleted the 9.05.3.0temp folder; I've tried to find a replacement dnsapi.dll folder (yes, apparently it's a folder, not a file like I found in my Windows folder), downloaded the PPCKITCHEN_OEM_VGA.RAR off the site and tried again to no avail...
This is how I feel with me being the little smiley: :violent2: I really want to make my own ROM but this pesty error is stopping me... Slmclarengt |

That just means you have 2 copies of the same files, do a search and remove 1 or don't choose that option

Re: PPCKitchen Error (File Create error dnsapi.dll)
Here are couple of fixes (mind you, not solutions):
1. For the DLL error -- uncheck the WM6 Voip Option. If you use VoIP, you can add it via a cab. I didnt get the the time to find a true solution to this. 2. For the overwrite warnings (these are not fatal errors) -- As Calcu mentioned, there are duplicate copies. Lets say, if I put in two custom OEMs (for example SlingPlayer and MobiReader) and if both contain a file of the same name, I would get this warning. To fix this. I unrar the rar archive, try to see if one of the files can be renamed and try to cook it again. Often, I have had to ignore these and it has worked fine. I have been doing this since long got my now-ex Vogue and current Diamond. Hope this helps. Quote:
