Is there a zoom feature on the diamond?

Then i tried pushing it and it just made a new line, or entered.

if you click left and right, it should move the cursor... at least my pro does. i don't have a diamond in front of me to test it out, but i'm almost certain the dpads have the same functionality.

you're clicking the center button i think... the round ring around it, thats what you want to click... it clicks.

did you try diamond tweak? i use the rweak in there to scroll on ie and such. maybe it works for scrolling during texting. if anyone needs it, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=409540

The Diamond does do the zoom with the d-pad, but when I try the d-pad to move the curser back through text, it deletes the text!

That stinks! I was excited to try this after reading. I've tried it several times and deletes the whole line of text each time.

oh well, maybe someone's got a fix for this?

hmph...never had this happen.
It worked for me and it was pretty cool.

Has this happened to anyone else?
Or is the guy just alone on this one?

Very strange...
when replying to an sms it erases the entire line.
when creating new sms it leaves the existing text and goes to the next line as if you'd hit enter??

are you pressing the dpad or pressing on the sides of the dpad?

It's kinda trick, but you have to press on the sides of the dpad.

If you press directly on it, it will enter and go to the next line.
