For those of you NOT using TF3d..

If you're not fond of TF3d, what are you using (if anything) for your today screen? Why do you like it?

I have my settings on small font, and my today screen is all squished up at the top. I want something that takes up the whole screen, looks nice and clean. I'd like a mail count, sms count - a clock with date, my next few appointments, weather, the ability to search from that screen (windows live or google - whatever, customizable?)

So what's your fav?

Thx, Suz

Re: For those of you NOT using TF3d..

Thats a great question!!
I installed the HTC Home for VGA and I like aspects of it. I realized why the TFlo3D is better.

I really just dislike WM GUI when it comes to fingers. But I will never give up my keyboard or SD slot so screw the IPhone.

I just keep hoping somone will come out with some good mods to the TFlo and make it more useful.
Currently there is a version in the PPC Kitchen that removes the sprint screens and adds a calendar screen.

I cant get any of my roms from the kitchen to run as well as NueRomS.

I am using the launcher from WKTask a lot and have ditched the HTC task manager. I like things about HTC's but now that I have learned the details of WKTask I will never go back.

Re: For those of you NOT using TF3d..

I have been a bit anxious to try something new with my touchpro since it hardware-wise, its a beast compared to the Mogul. Currently, I have the best of both worlds...utilizing SecondToday to keep SPB Insight, Metrix and SPB weather in play. I tried to run SPB mobile shell withing SecondToday...yeah...didn't work. SPB Plus, however, does work...in secondtoday. Hope this helps...oh...running SPB Mobile shell instead of TouchFlo 3D...a dream...everything worked so smoothly. It actually has the features you're looking for...but theme's wise its not so good yet since most SPB themes are still QVGA.

My latest ROM, pocoROM, doesn't include TF3D and has Pocket Digital Clock installed. If you don't like/need TF3D, check out pocoROM -- it's fast with lots of memory.

I'm coming from a Mogul, and just can't get used to TF3D. I will try your rom.

I opt for the calendar focused approach - TodayAgenda synced with my Google Calendar via www.nuevasync.com :)

I'm rolling old school with WeatherPanel, Ultimate Launch, Today Agenda and ElecontDialer.

WeatherPanel is in my Today along with UL. I use four tabs in UL. This setup leaves Weather Panel on all four screens, and then I have one tab for with Messaging and Today Agenda, one with ElecontDialer, one with Utils and one with Programs. A simple flick takes me from one screen to the next. This is still a work in progress as I've only had a WM phone for about two weeks, but it works well for me so far.

That actually looks pretty good for not using TF3D. Nice.

I've got WeatherPanel with PhatPhinger, and SPB Phone Suite on my Today screen, along with Date and Calendar.

SPB Phone Suite includes a mail and SMS counter. Alternatively, you can use the built-in "Messages" Today plugin for that. Calendar does appointments.

ecker I like yours!! I don't like the clock, but you're probably a guy...... I like something a little prettier, is there an option? I don't need the mp3 player option because I love my Nano and use it for my music.. So the basic thing here is SPB PocketPlus?

Thanks!

Oh my gosh I love that weather program! That's PhatPhinger right? do they have any other types of programs to use touch screens more easily? that's a really nice looking weather program... thanks!

PhatPhinger is just a "theme" for WeatherPanel. I don't know who does WeatherPanel or whether active development still exists.

PhatPhinger is done by storyr here on the forum. I'm not sure if he does anything else.

Here's a link to my TF3D-challenged setup. All important features (for my "usage profile") are 1 or 2 taps away...

OH that's cool, are you a big gamer? Those pics look a little scary :) I'd love some kind of girly today screen......alas, the search goes on. I do like yours, if it had flowers and girl junk on it. :)

question:

I see you're running both Mobile Shell & Ultimate Launcher. I use both also, but so far in my new TouchPro I only have MS running from 2nd today along with TF3D.

Are you running MS from a tab inside UL or it it the other way around??

I only use the Mobile Shell menus - not the Today plugin. That's one of the nice things about MS - you can link to most of it's functionality. I've got an icon in UL that opens the MS picture contacts, and the MS menu is active on the right soft key...

No kidding, I never realized you could do that. One more thing to play with, thanks for the info.........

I am gonna have to install 2nd today, just for your WP theme!!

Nice work!!!

yes, the main thing i use is SPB PocketPlus.. a trial can be found here: http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/prod...wnload.html?en

it is a great app and is really easy to set up.. there is no need to go searching for icons for your programs or anything, and it uses a desktop-like drag-and-drop feature, so you can organize your home screen very easily..i love it and bought the full version..i'm not sure how long that trial lasts, but when i did it about 6 months ago i think it was for 30 days.. all the features should be included, so if you like it buy it, otherwise just uninstall.. as for the clock, i'm pretty sure there are some 'more girly' skins.. otherwise, there is an option to change the color, so it will match pretty much any theme..

ps.. here is the pocket plus home page: http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/pocketplus/?en

Re: For those of you NOT using TF3d..

Hmm, I actually just tried it via my computer, and it worked perfectly. Literally just finished 30 seconds ago and wanted to post it worked that way. If you already tried though, I'm not sure what else to do. Did you completely uninstall the cab before trying via computer? and activesync was started and done syncing?
