Alltell Diamond will not get gps lock, 2phones same prob
 

I have a new Alltell diamond and no matter what i do i cannot get the gps to function. I have tried everything from enabling agps to actually having another phone set to me. Does anyone have the gps working on the new alltel diamond?

Rom version is Juicy 3.4(didnt work with the stock rom so i figured id try his)
radio is 1.03.13f

The new phone was the same, with gps test i would get sporadic sat info on the screen sometimes between 3-6 sat's. Never a lock and never was my location determined.

If you can't get a lock in a moving car, whats the point. I was forced to get rid of my iphone which never had gps issues because my company switched providers. Prior to the iphone i have always had wm devices, but i gotta tell you i am ready to pitch this out the window. No reason it should be this diffecult to get working.

Gpstest, no lock. Googls maps no lock, Tomtom no lock

gps on com 4, 4800 baud and alllow windows to manage..
location service is on.

tomtom locates gps but never gets a lock.

I have the same problem, new phone, tried many ROM's, no luck getting GPD to lock.

A little more info on your setup and what you have done would be helpful. also what is your location.

Maybe its an Alltel related problem? After turning on GPS did you click my location, in Google Maps?

Your handset dosnt seem to be compatible with My Location(beta) feature is what i get when i try that.

When i try use gps i get seeking gps satellities(0)

florence sc. my alltel diamond locks on within 5-10 seconds and pics up 9 locks in the middle of my house.

Im in the Tampa Florida area, Gps test sees some sats but never gets a lock.
