Diamond won't stop vibrating
 

I've have a problem with my Sprint Diamond. Sometimes when I get an email or a text message alert my phone vibrates and does not stop vibrating until I do a soft reset. It's been happening bout every other day in the morning after my phone has been on the charger over night. Has this happened to anyone else or does anyone know what might cause this problem.

sounds like a phone flaw, try a hard reset, if it still does it get a new phone

Mine has done the same thing a couple times. Just did a soft reset. I wasn't really paying attention to what I was doing, but I think I was sending multiple texts and probably getting a few at the same time. It definitely hasn't done it often, or in a while. Probably a good excuse to get a trade.

this has been happening to me on and off too. it's pretty aggravating. one way to get rid of it w/o doing a soft reset is to go into Settings/Sounds & Notifications/Notifications/Text Messaging and uncheck Vibrate and hit Ok. It'll turn the vibrate off, but if you go back in and turn it back on it'll do the nonstop vibrating when you get another text. The only way to correct it (albeit temporarily) is to do a soft reset. This seems to be intermittent too, there doesn't seem to be any particular action that causes it.

Questions for you guys with this issue.

Are you on custom ROMs? If so, which one Are you using a homemade/third party ringer? If so, how big is the file? Maybe it was improperly made and theres 20 seconds of sound and 2 minutes of silence, which would cause the phone to keep vibrating.

Just throwing out ideas.

I'm on the stock rom and my email/text message notifications are from the stock rom as well.

It seems to be something with the Stock ROM. My managers does it quite a bit.

i have had the same problems on many other 3'rd party Rom's including several juicy's & mighty's.

to avoid a soft reset hit the hard key volume button's and hit 'vibrate' it will then stop.

right now i'm on juicy 3.4 for a couple of day's and did not had any problem.
